General Service Robert C. T. Mair to his brother Gilbert R. Mair Dated 11th & Recorded 12th March 1953
AT EDINBURGH the Eleventh day of March Nineteen hundred and fifty three, sitting in judgment James Albert Gilchrist, Esquire, Q.C., Sheriff of Chancery, in the Petition of Robert Cumming Thomson Mair, residing at Castlebrae, Kirkfieldbank, Lanark, FOUND and hereby FINDS the the (sic) late Gilbert Robertson Mair, who resided at Lawhead House, Tarbrax, in the County of Lanark, died at Tarbrax on or about the 3rd day of November 1952 and had at the time of his death his ordinary or principal domicile in the County of Lanark; That the said Gilbert Robertson Mair never had any issue never having been married; That the Petitioner is the immediate younger brother of the full blood ever born of the said Gilbert Robertson Mair; And that the Petitioner is accordingly nearest and lawful heir in general of the said Gilbert Robertson Mair; And therefore SERVED and hereby SERVES the Petitioner nearest and lawful heir in general to the said Gilbert Robertson Mair; And DECERNED and hereby DECERNS.
